Theatrical Metal from one of the masters. This one like a lot of his recent solo work takes awhile to get into but once you get through the album, it's worth the trip. King's voice & songwriting might not be what it used to be but he's still got himself a killer band that knows how to make that classic metal sound. King's got some recent notoriety from "Clerks II". Instead of possessed grandmas this is about a little girl who haunts a house.

(((1))) Intro that sets the story in place.
((((2)))) Really good thrashy riffs & solos from Wead & LaRocque the chorus is unfortunately weak.
((3)) Slow and riffy but just too silly -especially the chorus.
((((4)))) Great riff and speedy tempo with King's mood setting vocals. Mr. Diamond's always at his best when he does songs like this.
(((5))) Solid riffs, solos & drumming. King's vocals go from good (in the build up) to silly (the high parts).
((6)) Slow ballad-y to a touches of melodic speed metal but nothing too good here.
(((7)))) Pretty good, airy, whispered creepy vocal duet between King & Livia with slow clean played vocals.
(8) Chunky riffs that sound too close to nu-metal for comfort. Not even the solo can save this disaster.
((9)) Riffy & groove-laden but mostly so-so.
(((10))) Classy guitar parts and really good vocals from King (except for the chorus).
(((11))) Gothic keyboards (that come off more Addams Family that say, A.E. Poe), doom tempo. Pretty decent for what it is (cheesy, slow metal).
((12)) Slick, modern melodic metal. All kinds of wrong in here.
(13) Gothy lameness eventually builds into a proper metal song. Neither of which has much staying power. Yeeesh!
