Collection of 26 bands all from the Baltimore area, most of which swing toward experimentalism and/or noise, noise rock, but some of which dish out straightforward alt-indie rock. Wide ranging, all really good. 1) dirgey dissonant swinging rock, screamo vocs 2) spacey, looped samples and tones, subdued vocalizations 3) low-fi singer songwriter, folksie country flare but with very cool percussion that takes the forefront midway 4) noisey, pounding, power electronics under growling and other vocalizations 5) noise with sax, boomy and droney to end 6) cool mix of tones, noise, samples 7) mid paced indie rock, airy and pretty 8) driving low fi rock with noise/fuzzed vocs 9) sparse and blippy electro noise 10) 1 minute of layered howling/vocs 11) a strange twisted new wave brief song 12) instrumental, dark electro, cool 13) FCCs (too bad!, okay for safe harbor) 14) sorta funky rock, like Minutemen on Quaaludes 15) epic dramatic indie rock with a Brit flare (Pulp?) 16) cool noise drone 17) playful new wavey feel, low fi 18) comedic hip hop spoof on eating “rat soup” 19) 9 secs of vocs 20) power harsh noise, ouch! Fun in that it incorporates a mediteranean folk thing 21) pounding rhythm and screamo vocs 22) cool noise rock with surfy beats, low fi 23) simple bassless indie rock, low fi live feel 24) tribal feel, hypnotic drone over drumming 25) old school industrial noise, layers and layers of sources, droney and live feeling 26) electro with ambient and experimental feel | ||
