You can almost say “feel good instrumental metal hit of the summer”. It’s something about the way this local trio hits those very classy, bright sounding and yet very heavy riffs. They also throw in a few mellow interludes which they also do quite well. It just puts a smile on your face because they’re having fun but also not faking an appreciation for heavy music. This ain’t math rock or the even the dreaded “hipster metal”. The Fucking Champs have been playing metal before was (again) cool to like it. Riff, wail and repeat!

((((((1)))))) Kick ass! Uppitty, riffy as hell. It tends to stick with one main pattern then gets into a much heavier hammering series of chords.
((((2)))) Classic, slow twin harmony thing. Sounds kinda close to “Over The Rainbow” via Ritchie Blackmore circa: ’77.
((((3)))) Heavy and continually changing structures.
(((((4))))) Playful, indie-ish rock styled but more rock. Plus an assload of riffs that kill “Death Cab” lovers on sight. Guest star “mmmh” from Neil Hamburger.
((((5)))) Simple electro noodling with minimal guitar.
(((((6)))))) Endless riff-fest! Taking the heaviest riffs of Thin Lizzy and Judas Priest into one massive instrumental.
(((7))) More mellow, minimal noodling with bloopy electro & flute?
((((8))))) Ah, dewd it’s all: “Jud-jud-jud-did-duh-judddda-juddd-dididdah!”
((((9))))) Top ‘o the mountain they play.
(((((10))))) Runs around with at least 5 different and all really killer riffs and an incredible guitar/drum break in the middle.
((((11)))) Odd, very “mystical” acoustic ballad with flute and Mellotron. Sounds like some from AOR radio in 1979.
((((12)))) Fast and crashing then more epic, classic rock-like. This actually only runs 5:42 and then slowly fades into a ton of blank space 'til some lame "hidden outtake".
