Afro-Latin jazz with lots of percussion plus horns, piano, violin. It meanders through tempos and temperaments, delivering solid performances throughout with improvisational energy and tight arrangements in equal parts. One star each track.

1. Starts like an African prayer, then relaxed, then it explodes.
2. Upbeat and fiery swinging brass/percussion/piano. So good!
3. Playfully sexy dance, midtempo Hilton Ruiz classic. Style for days.
4. Brass-driven salsa caliente/jazz jam. Wonderful energy.
5. Starts slow, then varying tempos and moods from heat to reflection.
6. Horns talk at counterpoint then piano/perc comment back. Midtempo
7. Slow and delicate. Especially lyrical piano & trumpet. Lovely.
8. Tripping, midt piano/percussion. Picks up speed, energy & horns.
9. Sweeping intro to mid/upbeat workout that just goes and goes…
