Eroc 1

Synth based 70’s psychedelic, ambient and experimental music from Germany. Eroc = Joachim Heinz Ehrig, former drummer in German psych/prog band Grobschnitt. This is really trippy stuff that sounded close to it’s contemporaries Tangerine Dream, Ash Ra Temple and Heldon. Some of this serious and other times he’s playful and silly. Overall very good.

((1)) Huh? Climbs stairs, says “Guten tag”, and plays a piano for one secod. That’s it.
((((2)))) Slow build up into a nice, melodic ambient waves. Sounds kinda “cute”, too.
(((((3))))) Way “gone into space” ambient. For “heads” only, maaan!
((4)) Babbling “im Deustch”
((((5)))) Groovy, electro-minimal but almost dancey and proto-Kraftwerk
((((6)))) Odd mix of overdriven guitar, noise distortion and keyboards. Later goes to a beat/keyboard laden groove. Very weird but good.
(((((7))))) High toned psych guitar & jangle. Very nice.
((((8)))) Strange vocal echoes making it like “experimental dub”?
((((9)))) Pretty and melancholic guitar instrumental.
((((10)))) Simple poppy guitar noodling. Very late 60’s with some interesting tonalities & chords.
((((11)))) Pretty sounding acoustic guitar instrumental.
((((12)))) Twangy guitar & kazoo. Hazy & druggy in the vein of Butthole Surfers or Sun City Girls.
(((((13)))) Dense layers of electronics and psych guitar strum. Awesome!
