Listenable, enjoyable contemporary classical music, performed by a string 4tet with the composer on contrabass. You could play this at a social gathering and be neither off-putting nor square.

1. Generally upbeat with some dissonance in the middle
2. Minor/dissonant intro, lilting middle. 2 minutes in becomes a *lovely* version of “Across the Universe” which disassembles back into the original theme
3. Sad & wistful, sounds like the title. Sparse- silent rests in middle, musical hide-n-seek, fades to nothing at end.
4. intertwining lines, 3/4 time that flirts with becoming a waltz but stays outside.
5. quiet intro, middle’s got a little flair. Like a kid peeking out
6. Lively, minor key, worried
7. Starts mournful then strong middle
8. Light, friendly
9. slow and lovely, slightly busier at end
10. Cool pizzicato intro, playful, 3/4 time
11. Last dance lullabye, upbeat ending
