Album Review
Reviewed 2007-11-05

A split release between the Bay Area's emo hardcore band COMADRE and Germany's metalcore band TRAINWRECK. COMADRE's tracks are a melodic emo hardcore that's catchy but still has a bit of chaos. These tracks are also not as heavy as they are live. Lots of sing-along parts, catchy guitar and screamed but somewhat understandable vocals. TRAINWRECK is heavy metalcore along the lines of BURIAL YEAR. They have a pummeling sound with vocals you can't understand.
1. Imagine taking an indie rock song and making it slightly heavier. Very catchy melodic guitar. Gang vocals during the chorus. A bit whinny and slight early Dischord sound.
**2. Discordant and more chaotic with melodic breakdowns.
3. Lofi acoustic emo
**4. HUSKER DU influence.
5. A few sections where the music takes a back seat to the vocals.
1. Slow pace with a heavy pummeling sound.
**2. Fast with guitars flying everywhere. A few melodic parts.
**3. Melodic and pummeling at the same time. Nice melodic guitar combined with a heavy chug.
4. Medium paced, slightly discordant, and busy. Fade out ending.
Good stuff -mph
