Another fine re-issue of a krautrock original. This features the trio of Dieter Mobius & Hans-Joachim Roedlius (Cluster/Kluster) and Michael Rother (Neu!). All instrumental. Heavy on the synths, subdued guitar fuzz, repetitive “motorik” rhythms and plenty of experimentation. Way ahead of it's time for 1973. Excellent stuff all around.
((((1)))) Repetitive, electronic rhythms, noodling with a “zeeep” flying through all of it. Has enough layers to not make it annoying or boring.
((((((2))))) Deep, space-ambient with a nice thudding drum break in the middle. Beautiful!
(((((3))))) Twangy psych with the classic “krautrock” electronisch warble.
((((((4)))))) Loose, jammin’ and soooo much fun! Quintessential, driving motorik. A fine match to Neu’s “IsI”.
((((5)))) Experimental, noodling, waves of odd sounds going from crests to waves.
(((((6)))) Pretty minimalist & ambient but gets to some louder chords and almost song-like structure.
((((((7))))))) Amazing! Proto-techno, motorik. Note: This is a year BEFORE Kraftwerk hit “die Autobahn”.
(((((8)))) Trippy psych with multi-toned cycles of electronics and what sounds like “treated” guitars.
