Manx Craptaticus Reviewed 2007-12-03 | ||
Outsider music. Primitive 80s synth, spoken word in German. Apparently some of it is comedy. Just plain weird. FCC clean (in english at least) Picks - 2,4,9,10,13,15-17,21. *1-1:01) Cheesy electronics and german spoken word. **2-1:42) Silent night on synth, distorted spoken word, and beep. Breaks into weird slow-jam with voice over. 3-2:32) Sounds of a babbling brook. Pseudo-classical noodlings on electric organ. Then gets very new agey. *4-3:52) Happy, a bit wistful Euro-electronic stroll. 5-1:58) Dark new age synth. 6-4:07) Acoustic guitar, accordian, gentle Euro stomp. 7-4:41) Picked electric guitars. Slowly builds. Kind of druggy and "inspired". 8-2:32) Reprise of 3. *9-4:35) Slow start. Quickly builds to pounding spacey dance beat with strange laughing in the background. *10-7:44) Slow, solemn synth. At -6:20 develops a beat. 11-2:19) Almost hymn like bass melody. 12-3:03) Comic singing over acoustic guitar and mid-slow electric dance. *13-3:05) Big classical organ sounds. Slow industrial pounding. Loud, angry talking on top. 14-4:01) Very 80s sound here. Slow-simmering-jam. *15-2:49) Mid-fast. Almost videogame/movie soundtrackish. Long fade out. *16-4:01) Primitive hiphop-beat. Gets melodic in the middle. *17-3:36) Slow bombastic 80s rock sounds - echoey fake snare hits and all. 18-6:27) Mid tempo dance with prominent slap bass and ambience. 19-4:09) More happy/wistful Euro stroll. 20-3:52) Slow looking-at-the-stars ballad. Then picks up tempo to become happy/wistful/Euro stroll. *21-6:05) Fast dance. Atmospheric electronics. Russian spoken samples come and go. Primitive rave almost. 22-0:51) Recordings of speaking around a house. Last 10 sc. silent. |
