Excellent “chill-time” songs from the ever evolving Norwegian band. In the past Ulver has played black metal, acoustic folk, glitch, experimental, trip-hop, soundtracks. now this group very ethereal & mellow songs. Great stuff cold & dark days.

((((((1)))))) Beautiful, slow moving with theremin, strings and Chris “Gårm” Rygg’s nice voice
(((((2))))) Very focused on the vocals with what sounds like a choir behind it. Some sparse beats & keyboards, too. Gets slightly louder in the middle.
((((3)))) Starts where #2 left off. Piano, somber strings. Pretty minimal but generally pleasant.
(((((4))))) Random noises, whispered vox, lots of resonating/shimmer via Fennez. Beautiful stuff.
((((5)))) Droney, then heavy on the vocal resonation and drum breaks. Fairly poppy but mostly melancholic.
((((6)))) Oddly fractured bits of vocals, synths, percussion and random trumpet. Gets better in the second half.
(((((7))))) Awesome cover of the Black Sabbath ballad. (from “Master of Reality” if ya don’t know by now)
((((((8)))))) Very chilled with nice piano and theremin in the mix and some creaking floorboards? Great stuff!
((((9)))) Glacial paced vocals and piano, practically floats across your ears until the big ‘ol weepy string section comes in (which should be shorter) but otherwise good.
