Beyond The Permafrost

Aggressive yet melodic black/death/thrash metal with one foot in a current sound and the other in 80’s thrash metal. They create a mix of 3 main elements which haven't been tried enough in metal. Skeleton Witch knows how to take a bit of the heaviest Gothenborg bands and a slice of Carcass then glue it together with something from Megadeth. In other words it’s fuckin metal with a lots of riffs, growlin’ & cacklin’ vocals, dood. It’s quite to the level of “OMFG!” of Ghoul but still has plenty of potential.

((((1)))) Fast, thrashin’ death metal with a strong thrash vibe, takes a few spins to get the vocals but it pays off.

((((6)))) Fast as hell Black Metal riffing ‘ala Dissection and another amazing breakdown. Kick ass!
((((7)))) 80’s chug thrash riffs with a modern, almost epic style in the mix. Steady stuff.

Wild, very 80’s riff with very modern cacklin’ zombie vocals.
((((9)))) Insanely over the top soloing and Megadeth worshippin’ riffs. Pretty nice.
((((10))) Thick & sense, battering with a good vocal performance & solid breakdowns.
((((11)))) WTF? The opening is a total nod/rip of Ludicra’s “Userpent”. Regardless this is pretty fast & intense in the riff department.
((((12)))) Very fast but ever changing tempos. More from the “vault of unused 80’s riffs & solos”. Extra points for having a “2-3 Go!” in here.
