Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2007-12-25
Heavily treated field recordings of Tibet, street sounds, etc. Things are looped and layered in various forms, all very interesting and creative, lending an alternate life to these already interesting sounds. Fantastic, “World Experimental Noise”?? Tracks are long and hypnotic, nothing harsh and brutal, droney if anything.

1) looped industrial sound takes on a more organic street carnival sound after a couple minutes, revealing its true source, dense with voices
2) looped voices take on a chanting songlike quality, a subliminal noise appears and builds then the chanting drops away, revealing a trippy drone, then a rhythmic clapping and ululating thing appears, twisted in its treatment
3) drone, of the loveliest sort, with strange looped voices almost tuvan appearing, evolves after ~10 min, great!
4) exceedingly quiet, silence for first ~7 minutes, then minimalist percussion sounds, either this track is screwing up on my player or you should just avoid this track
