Track 5 ("Ruthie's"), in addition to being catchy as hell and generally awesome, is also perhaps the best gay rights anthem I've ever heard.

Contemporary blues from the correct point of view - an African American. In his own words mostly serious, small, powerful band -- real lyrics & material.

1. Short a capella moan
2. Funky stomp - blues cryin
3. Laidback, haunting bluesy gospel poetry
4. Lowdown funky march
5. Jungle swing, sparse insgtruments, deep, bluesy poetry - low moan
6. Classic gospel old school a capella w/hand clap
7.Wicked slide guitar, lowdown drums - moanin vocals
8. More lowdown blues poetry over sparse instruments...oooh
9. Soulful balld time w/just voice & stand up bass
10. Sweet soulful ballad - voice with piano.
11. More #1 (Reprise)
