Quite stunning and challenging mix of full on heavy as hell metal mixed with indie & proggy jams. All done up with an epic, sort of spacey style. Excellent stuff (despite their silly name). (((((1))))) Massively heavy, very riffy and extremely worthy. Some strides into dirty, technical black/death styled sound and later a mellow, strummy breakdown suddenly discard for a battleship fulla metal riffs. ((((2)))) 15+ minutes with long “backwards” intro, Gets proggy 3 minutes in. It really pays off near the 7 min. mark where it sounds like Pelican or The Fuckng Champs. (((((3))))) Pretty guitar strums, drifts along nicely then (at 5:13) it turns down the path of DOOOM and later some kind of massive sludge vs. prog thing. (((((4))))) Bookends the first track by making ultra-insane, over-the-top blackend metal fury. Super layered and evil vocals, which give way to more of those surprisingly nice mellow parts and back again. | ||
