Country-folk with some interesting gypsy and klezmer overtones. Conjures an image of dusty plains, lone gunmen and cinematic badasses like Lee Marvin, Clint Eastwood and Francisco Nero. Similar to a more country-folk version of Black Heart Procession, Morricone, Mark Lanegan & Eric MacFadden. Really nice stuff.
((((1))))) Slow waltz mixing “spaghetti western” Morricone soundtracks with NYC klezmer.
((((2)))) Dramatic strings, expressive vocals, somber vibe eventually gets more festive.
((((3)))) Moody accordion with a slow-ish ramble and really good vocals and structures.
((((4))) Twangy, western, disjointed later has some oft-kilter “country folk-psych-raga” thing.
(((((5))))) Very nice guitar chords, musical saw (!) and clangy percussion, late night run down vocals all = awesome!
(((((6))))) Mellow, reflective, airy. Similar to Mark Langegan’s work. Excellent!
((((7)))) More folksy and whimsical. Like a roustabout former circus barker singing by the railroad tracks.
((((8)))) Guitar & cello instrumental creating a dark grey clouded slow waltz in the desert
((((9)))) Western indie folk? More eerie saw effects and campfire acoustic guitar strum.
((((10)))) Guitar noodling, whistling, soft, airy vocals and slow tempo. Really good vocals.
