Cissoko is a Guinean singer/kora player backed by some cousins (equally talented) on percussion, balafon, bass, guitars, programming. Plus some sterling non-family guest stars. Wonderful music. Every track is worth at least one star. A fabulous blend of the Griot tradition and modern musical influences with lots of unexpected twists.

1. Bright & fast kora. Delicious! A fast wiggle w/cool vocals.
2. Upbeat Afro rock w/English hip hop. Very cool.
3. Starts w/rain, sweet, relaxed, warm.
4. Upbeat kora, perc, vocals. Fast, w/great layers of strings.
5. Bouncy mid/upbeat ode to African leaders. Great vocals/chorus.
6. Upbeat w/male & fem vocals & electric dance jam.
7. Midtempo bounce with a warm, sway & cool programming break.
8. Short (1:32) music-box-like kora w/conversation & kids. In French.
9. Begins w/conversation then mid/upbeat bounce w/cool vocals.
10. Delicious female harmonies, male vox, upbeat & way catchy.
11. Relaxed mid/upbeat w/some great strings/perc/life sounds.
12. Crickets into a mostly midtempo ode to his Grandmother.
13. Relaxed kora & vocals. Kinda spacey & haunting.
