I have no problem with using the label alt.country to describe this band, they use a kind of deliberate moodiness that makes me think of early Spain, which is a very good thing. They also remind me of Low, but these guys are more country. They are also IMHO much better than Bright Eyes, who they split an album with some years back. Mostly short songs. Some songs are faster than the slowcore allusions I made. Play with the Strugglers, even Neko Case, and the above mentioned as well as those on the sticker.
