Album Review
Brendan Erickson

To start off this album was pretty repetitive. The tracks were very similar to each other and it went in 3 distinct phases. The first phase consisted of alternative rock songs that while not bad were forgettable and cleshe. The second phase seemed like an attempt to be The Who but the songs all sounded so similar that one might assume that it was one giant song. The third phase was the most interesting and seemed to feature some experimentation. While it was my favorite one again, all the tracks were so similar to each other that it got annoying and repetitive. My biggest issue with this CD was that it showed a lot of potential; the riffs and instruments were good but the songs dragged out for too long and became annoying. The album also failed to sound like something original and instead came off as generic and boring. FCC clean, my picks are 5,7,14,&18.

1.Decent alternative rock track. Catchy but forgettable.
2.Uptempo track with droning vocals and decent instrumentation.
3.Reminded me of something the Police would write. A good sound, but it get's repetitive quickly.
4.A generic New Wave song with a screechy chorus. And annoying guitar licks punctuating the song.
5*.A classic rock n' roll song with beatlesesque vocals and an energetic bass.
6.Good vocals and a funky bass beat drive this song. Otherwise it's a standard New Wave song, but a good listen.
7*.Upbeat sounds a lot like a track by The Who.
The vocals could be better but overall a good track.
8.The song was repetitive which did not help it's already annoying guitar riff. The vocals were screechy and inaudible.
9. Similar to songs 5,6, and 7. Like many other tracks the song gets old quickly.
10. bass heavy song that is goes on too long with vocals that get old after a while.
11. An upbeat instrumental track. with a catchy guitar riff and nice introduction of horns that work well with the who like instrumentation.
12. Decent track with funky instrumentation.
13. Bass heavy mysterious track with odd noises going off in the background of a funk bass. the track was good but became repetitive.
14*. A really nice change of pace think Lodon Calling meets the Beatles.
15. A quirky track. That has an odd psychedelic feeling to it. A steady bass beat is surrounded by faded vocals and odd guitar noises.
16.A very police like track that went on for much much longer then it needed to.
17.An odd track which makes use of what sounds like a cow bell. It's a very bad attempt at trying to be funky yet avant garde at the same time.
18*.A really nice track that's energetic but mellow at the same time. With a great guitar solo in there it's the perfect way to end and album. The vocals were really good and worked so well with the music.
