Heavy Japanese psych. The results vary from excellent to meh- it’s been done before and better (and usually by Boris themselves!). Addable for the better moments on the album. Generally good but seems like most “post Metal” Otaku nerds will go totally apeshit for this (as usual).|
((((1)))) Reverb-y, Japanese sung “slow burn” psych with some nice guitar work – eventually gets louder near the end. Like Japanese psych crossed with Dino Jr.
((((2)))) Blown out thick riffin’ raw but clear psych-metal confusion. Great riffs & drums but the vocals are kinda meh.
((((3)))) Fast, “psych-punk” with a nice amp destruction.
(((4))) Pedal stompin’ guitart madness, tight riffs and tons of wah-wah. Again, the vocals are just “there”.
((5)) Dodgy indie pop shite.
(((6))) Chaotic, super-fuzzy overdriven, overkilled distrorted and hazy vocals. Not bad but often done much better by others. (see Bardo Pond)
(((7))) Huh? Murky slow, mellow psych with lazy vocals. Their usual doom/fuzz comes in later. This doesn’t rise above “OK” unfortunately.
