Harmony-heavy, pastoral hymn indie folk rock. Robin Pecknold writes the songs and plays guitar. He also sings lead in a voice, often reverbed, that may remind you of Jim James (My Morning Jacket). One of the best reviewed albums of 2008 so far, but I just like it okay.

My picks: 2, 6, 11 FCC: clean
sounds like an old field recording to begin. picks up with guitars and organ. fake ending about 0:40 left.
vocal round, upbeat.
med-fast. fingerpicked guitar and vocals. like a more folky My Morning Jacket.
med-slow. dark. fingerpicked guitar. second guitar makes it sound like late 60s, early 70s folk stuff.
mid tempo. strongish, steady drums.
med-slow. piano, guitar and drums. dramatic vocals. stops and starts near the middle. ends and then a short, related lilting piano piece for the last 0:35 or so.
slow. guitar and choral vocals.
starts very subdued with vocals and keyboards. becomes much more rollicking partway through.
med-slow. subdued, just vocals and fingerpicked guitar.
med-fast. starts with vocals, then strummed guitar and keyboard later.
starts med-slow, just vocals. guitar add in and it gets faster. returns to a capella near the end.
