Sonantes

Poppy Brazilian music written for imaginary films. A guitar-driven pop/rock session with rich percussion (of course), occasional electronica hints, and bright, modern-sounding female vocals. You could call the music breezy but it's got plenty of bumps and grinds to it as well. Might go down well with newer April March stuff or that Postmarks CD ("By-the-Numbers") that was in A-file recently.

1- Low-down midtempo with slow, twangy guitar
2- A heavy bossa nova. Dig the tango-y percussion.
3- Male vocal; easygoing and a bit ghostly. Heavy "traditional music" feel
4- Poppy Latin jazz feel, after a sly intro with organ washes. Wordless.
5- Snappy instrumental
6- Mid/slow hipness; soulful vocals. A dash of abrasive bar rock in the guitar.
7- Midtempo. Upbeat in a minor key.
8- Slowish, a cowboy/bucolic feel. Male lead vocal.
9- Coolly breezy; whispery vocal. Nice vocal solo later.
10- Happy happy Brazilian jazz with real horns & smooth-as-silk vocal
