Progressive doom sludge metal. At least that's how the band describes their music. You know the spiel: slowed down and extremely heavy guitar rhythms, jud jud, wah wah, and a few sprinkles of postrockiness and psychedelia here and there. Don't get me wrong, this stuff is good. I do have two complaints though: the vocals suck big time and the songs seem to be unnecessarily long. Still worth listening to though. Sounds like: Black Sabbath, Melvins.

Picks: 3, 4 *** No FCCs detected***

1. (suggested fast forward to 1:50) almost silent start, conversation sample, then a gong. starts @1:50, heavy, sludgy guitar riff, wah wah, jud jud, tinkling bells, good stuff...
2. long and weird “ambient” track. the band describes it as a “live in pompeii pink floyd jam”, which sounds about right. good soundbed
*3. tribute to Evel Knievel. great stoner groove! hell yeah! too bad the vocals kind of suck
*4. heavy, sludgy guitar intro, tempo picks up gradually and song kind of rocks out. gets more proggy towards the end
5. same formula, jud jud, heavy rhythms... and vocals that suck... despite that, it's pretty good, but by now there's really no surprises
