Good old rawk and rall! I guess the front cover image of the bass player/vocalist holding a shotgun while showing off her pregnant belly says it all: either these guys are huge rednecks or they really really wish they were. I guess coming from San Francisco probably points to the latter. Still the music is fucking awesome, totally dominated by Travis Kenney's thunderous bellow on top of simple three-chord guitar progressions. I don't get most of the lyrics (my racial handicap) but sounds like mostly about living like white trash. Basically (and I quote this from allmusic) think of this as a blend of Motorhead, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Black Flag. All songs pretty similar.

Picks: 6,2,3,11,12,8,14 *** FCCs: 5 ***

1. “go west” sample speech intro to zepplin/acdc mix of rock and roll
*2. hell yeah! builds up to a thumping arena rocker
*3. cowbell throughout, more country feeling, pretty upbeat
4. naughty lyrics (though I think no FCCs), faster, uptempo, more motorhead style
5. FCC “shit” sung multiple times, quite nice and bluesy otherwise
**6. excellent country song cover, uptempo, upbeat, punky, great!
7. bluesy (more so at least), with some rocking outbursts
*8. more upbeat, old school rock and roll
9. another country song cover, more downtempo
10. fast tempo, bill haley and the comets style
*11. one more country song cover, again uptempo, good
*12. again cowbells, nice guitar, “let it ride!”
13. nice guitar riffing at intro, more subdued, almost sentimental (?)
*14. sounds like another cover, again upbeat, danceable, hell yeah!
15. bluesy piece, about leaving california (?)
