Teen Sounds

Sound collage and mash up experiments, combining lots of organic sounds, song clips, babies laughing, records being played at various speeds, television, very dense and yummy. Most songs revolve about a cool 60’s pop quip, driving cop show soundtrack or loungey sounding thing. For fans of Qulfus, People Like Us, Evolution Control Committee. Great stuff.

1) mash up of laughter, babies and otherwise, then player piano sorta sounds then a driving repeating clip of a song that’s like pop in a holding pattern
2) driving cool 60’s pop, ends then strange womans voice/poem, from a crackling record, off to free jazz land randomness, back to cool pop
3) even more urgency to the music bed, lots of cool sounds, grows dark in the end, then ends with a TV sounding bit
4) sound bite from a movie/television show intros this for a good minute or so, then a clunky vestige of music ending in exploding sounds
5) lounge/exotica flavor, turns upbeat pop, goes back, strange but true
6) proggy downtempo riffage to lay a foundation for this one, almost purely musical, ends crazy
7) mash up of various tempos and tones, from urgent to slow
8) sample about a “dream vacation in Tennessee/anglo saxon charm”, some sick sounding record bending
9) rather chill and mellow song the whole way through
10) soul singer track “take me in your arms, rock me” over a bunch of sick record bending
11) tense layers of sound give way to a downtempo sorta creepy but chill tone
12) more of the sick womans voice/poem, then a bright and cheery bouncy thing, gets twisted up pretty fast
13) noise loops, dronier feel, children samples, creepy and cool
