Music In The Afterlife
|Ragnar of Ravensfjord|
Very nice psych-folk duo with multi-range female vocals from Brooklyn. Very good sounds for early mornings or late nights. |
((((1)))) Short but meditative intro with Tibetan singing bowls.
(((((2)))))) Slow, hazy with a good resonating guitar sound and very solid vocal performance.
(((((3))))) Zig-zaggy tempo, not far off from a modern Popul Vuh with more of a trippy-neo-hippie style (in the best way possible).
((((4)))) Lots of interesting blends of acoustic strumming/picking and handclaps. Plus several elongated notes and a oft-repeated chorus.
(((((5))))) Delicate, softly drifting outward with some moody cello.
(((6))) Wailing to wavering psych guitar, mandolin, kinda flat vocals, though.
(((((7))))) Very spacious and slow, very nice.
((((8)))) Loose, very vocal-centered and really good acoustic guitar playing & the occasional “ting!”
((((9))) Another soft, folksy, very 70’s “flower children in the field” feeling.
((((10)))) Ballad with slow, 4 note piano chords and random electric guitar chorus. Similar to Cat Power.
