AFROFUNK by Tony Allen ( Fela Kuti's drummer). "the man who sounds like 4 drummers" on a reissue of his first 4 solo albums, Fela is a sideman on these. Fela & Allen originated Afropop, These recordings are from the mid to late 70's.

CD#1 with Africa 70 (Fela's group)

****1:11:27 big horn blast intro then low Fela/Allen percussion horn groove, @ 6:20 male vocal call with female chorus response with keyboard/percussion groove, horns return at end.
****2: 13:05 Fela/Allen percussion horn groove
****3: 9:45 male vocal call, cool fem chorus response percussion,brass & keyboard groove
****4: 11:57 totally locked rhythm instrumental minimal funk guitar with horns toward the end.


CD#2 with the African Messengers (Tony Allen's group)
