Oh so cool! Chicha is a Peruvian blend of cumbia, Andean folk music, rock and roll and a bit of everything else. A blend of instrumental and vocal tracks. Think Amazonian surf guitars, R&B organ, and the house band in the coolest, grimiest dive bar in the jungle. All with a retro 70s sound. Read the great notes for lots of interesting info. Love all of this, especially the following (but all are good) 1. Midtempo w/great tinny guitars & relaxed sway. Delicious. 2. Upbeat w/retro keyboards and way hip percussion. Like a 60s film 3. Upbeat percussion and hip electric guitars in a driving, soulful jam. 4. Bright & fun midtempo wiggle w/great keyboards & fun vocals. 6. Cool jungle soul, upbeat w/lots of energy & a slight sense of kitsch 8. A mid/upbeat high-humidity hip shaker w/delicious guitar. 10. Fun upbeat dance w/cool vocals & a great beat. 12. Way hip midtempo groove w/a cool hint of the islands. 14. Relaxed and playful head-nodder with vocals. 15. Starts w/crowd noise into a happy hot-weather party song. 16.
