The Rosebuds, “Life Like”
Straightforward, poppy Indie rock, for fans of Spoon. Mostly guitar/bass/drums plus male and female vocals; nothing too original, but nice to listen to. Sounds a bit like Tilly and the Wall (esp. tracks 2 and 5), Sondre Lerche (especially tracks 4 and 10), and Jason Collett. No FCCs. Recommended tracks: 4, 5, 9
1. Mid-tempo, male vocals + female harmonies. Tambourine galore. [3:14]
2. Catchy, upbeat song with female vocals and a somewhat echo-y quality. [2:27]
3. Earnest, percussion-driven love song. [3:39]
4. Fun, up-tempo, foot-tappable rock song w/ clapping. [2:30]
5. Acoustic ballad with piano… a simple and sweet song with choral vocals. [3:28]
6. Haunting echo-y song with mostly female vocals. [3:11]
7. Spoon: the lost tracks. Mid-tempo.[5:02]
8. Who doesn’t love a whistling track? M. Ward-esque guitar sound. Short and sweet. [2:14]
9. Dreamy tambourine-infused pop ballad. [3:50]
10. Upbeat poppy track, with some interesting background sounds (synth?) [3:51]
