Long running Dutch band mixing electronic, brooding rock, psych, pop & folk. Fronted by the very unique vocals of Edward Ka-Spel this runs from the slow melancholic to the folk to trippy psych pop. Altogether completely enjoyable from beginning to end.
(((((1))))) Slow, churning beats, kinda old-school industrial with obsessive vocals. Very dark stuff.
((((((2)))))) Warbling, floating electronic-psych sound. Slows down in the middle that circles back to the beginning theme.
(((((3)))) Mellow, pleasant psych folk with flute. Very Syd Barret-like.
(((((((4))))))) Really neat, Neu!-inspired electro-pop.
((((5)))) Strange overlapping vocals in background & static with Ka-Spel speaking/singing about dandelion wine & lost loves.
(((6))) Slow, spacey, minimal then chaotic and clangy. Actually a little TOO chaotic.
(((((7))))) Strummy folk with banjo, bass clarinet and some random percussion bits.
(((((8)))) Airy ambience then found sounds like an outboard motor (?), back to ambient and slowly spoken vocals. Odd but continually interesting.
(((((9))))) Loose, watery percussion, sort of African sounding with a few strings. Completely unexpected but still fascinating.
((((((10)))))) “Typical” LPD song, slow tempo, electronics, story-telling vocals. Lots of boops and beeps in the background.
