Album Review

Extravagant, jazzy brass arrangements with soulful vocals (by new singer Eska Mtungwazi). Album concept=politics, exploring a myriad of 21st century abuses of power, i.e. the media (the story), the church (pontificate), monarchy (regina). All great, start with 1, 12, 5.

)Rich rhythms, soulful. The vox are amazing in this one.
)Intense with jagged fits, distorted vox & samples. Apparently features the sounds of 74 condoms being dragged along a floor
)Horns upon horns. Interesting.
)A collage piece which features cameos from the likes of Tony Benn and former PM John Major
)Jazzy electronic yumminess. A bit of Berstein-esque busyness too.
)Moody jazz pop. Terrific buzzy fuzziness at end.
)Subdued horns, blue sounds.
)Dramatic show tune, big sounds. “Breathe more, buy less.”
)Vocal etc. collage (great!) moving over soft rhythm & horns
)A mellow tune belying violent sound samples
)Melancholy melody, pale vocals.
)Exuberant jazz piece, fierce vocals
