There’s a lot of 70’s power rock here. Wishbone Ash sounds creep in. Lots of staccato playing, wailing guitar and vocals. Songs tend to blend into one another, gets quite monotonous at times. Interesting nonetheless. FCC #12.

*My Favorites*: 4, 7, 9, 13.

1. (4:40) Mid / Fast. Guitar intro with background voices. Screeching, staccato guitar. HIgher-pitched, wailing vocal.
2. (5:14) Mid. More staccato playing and singing. Phrase with vocal manipulation, marching drum parts.
3. (5:45) Mid. Guitar, drum intro, then wailing, lead guitar. Crunchy guitar, soaring vocals and bass and drum heavy.
4. *(2:41) Mid / Fast. A nod to ‘Nellie The Elephant’ intro. A bit different sounding from the other songs, less staccato and a bit more cohesive.
5. (3:34) Mid. Very marchy, almost industrial, including a flute or recorder, quite cool.
6. (5:56) Mid. Chain saw-sounding guitar, song about a packrat. Gets monotonous.
7. *(4:51) Mid. Guitar, shaker intro. Guitar predominates, sort of a Dragnet theme. Kick ass. Banjo ending.
8. (5:11) Mid / Fast. Mysteriousness ensues. Wailing vocals. Guitar, drum led. Cool guitar solo near end with wailing whammy bar.
9. *(5:44) Slow / Mid. Guitar heavy, strong beat. A bit of Primus.
10. (7:49) Fast. Kind of punk, heavy metal. Black Sabbath sounding at times. Instrumental phrases with heavy drumbeats and some kick ass guitar work.
11. (4:04) Mid. Dreamy. Easy vocal delivery with a bit of background vocals. Mellow but up-front guitar. Has the ever-present soaring vocal.
12. (5:17) FCC ‘shit’ and ‘fuck’ several times. Mid / Fast. Driving beat.
13. *(4:27) Slow / Mid. Crowd noises like song #1. Guitar, bass and vocal ‘til halfway when drums enter. Then song picks up into full band. Great ending song, but completely different from rest of album.
