Kick ass noise rock. Most tracks are pretty long and cover a lot of ground: sludge, hardcore, stoner metal, spaced out, bluesy psychedelic jams. Excellent guitar sound and good use of jazzy time signatures. Vocals are mostly screamed and off key, but I have to say they go quite well with the music. Seems to be a turning point for this Seattle-based trio. The album theme is a string of shark attacks that happened in the Jersey coast in 1916. For fans of Kyuss, Fu Manchu, Sabbath, Melvins, Isis, Neurosis.

Picks: 3,4,6 *** No FCCs ***

1. quiet intro with wave sound. drums kick @1:20 and song gets loud. very sludgy ending
2. alternates between epic sludginess with kick ass guitars and melodic jazz-like jamming
**3. totally epic multi-part track, psychedelic intro, metal explosion, blues jam, sludge, pink floyd-like space rock, everything is here. pretty violent peaks, shredding guitars. pretty dark ending
**4. wow, face melting guitar solo intro, this songs kicks some serious ass. totally doomed out and sludgy @-2:00
5. shortest track. very isis-sounding riff, then another nice bluesy jam
*6. long, mostly mellow instrumental outro (gets heavy @-7:16). reiterates main album themes. dark and beautiful. ends with wave sounds to emphasize aquatic theme. DJs NOTE: LONG WAVE OUTRO @-4:23
