Folk/blues/country music with a lot of soul. William Elliott Whitmore has a very powerful and throaty voice that stands out in every track. His country background is very apparent in his lyrics. If you get the chance, look up a photo of him--you may be surprised!
My top picks: 2, 4, 6. FCC #1

1. FCC- “motherfucker” about every 10 seconds after the song hits 3:20; sounds like a mutiny scene from a musical; snare drums play throughout
2. *Somber; violin and acoustic guitar accompany Whitmore’s mournful vocals
3. Fast tempo; reminds me of Johnny Cash; this song makes me want to clap along!
4. *Starts off med-tempo; lots of strumming; rhythm really picks up at 2:10
5. Gentle, med-tempo acoustic guitar
6. *Slow and inspirational; soft organ plays in the back; long, instrumental fade out after about 4:30
7. Soft and quick acoustic guitar; some background vocals
8. Med-tempo; banjo and accordion
9. E bow, banjo, and snare drums take over most of the song, but there are bits with Whitmore’s strong vocals
10. Slow; very subtle acoustic guitar behind strong, solemn vocals
