Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2009-04-14
All instrumental music that could be the soundtrack to a late 60’s/early 70’s cop show or a playful sitcom involving unsafe sex (Love, American Style?). Cool stuff created “live” by one guy, not samples pieced together like say Tipsy or Pepe Deluxe, but I could see how one might put them in the same bin. Organ, sitars, flutes, Fender Rhodes, just full on coolness. I expect Mannix or Starsky and Hutch or someone with an afro and big bell bottoms to crawl out of my speakers at any second.

1) basic pop rock with Indian tambora/sitar, a tease to the funk that ensues
2) smoking organ and flute solos gives it a 70’s cop show funky feel
3) a bit more exotica feel
4) fun party funky music, 60’s flare
5) sitar back, funky funkay
6) funky proggy feel, brass joins in, pretty complex really
7) more chill and sexy, funky for sure
8) darker, with dulcimer thing taking lead, with funkiness abounding
9) bordering on Miles Davis led guitar work and funk, man this is getting good
10) cool and fun with sitar, stand out track for the ones with sitar
11) slow, chill with dominating bass
12) funk with sitar playing lead
