Band: Company of Thieves Album: Ordinary Riches
Spunky, Spooky, Bluesey, Heavier Pop—one of my favorite bands with a female singer. Reminiscient of Arcade Fire for its dirty messy bass-lines and surreal riffs. Maintains a genuine Pop feel throughout, while avoiding the overly sanguine feel of many pop artists. Airy lyrics that are good, clean and fun! You can't go wrong with anything on this CD.
**1. Spaced out intro into a sweet bass-line with dirge-like instrumentals and soulful and deliberate words. Blues-pop fusion.
**2. Soul Power Pop with rock organ and much more! Most bouncy track of the CD.
**3. Best and most recognizable track, many stunning moments and overall enjoyable catchy lyrics to a heavy-pop beat.
4. Harmonica, switchesbetween a country beat and some progressive rock, almost heavy- metal riffs
5. Slow start with some wavering guitar background to a nice breakout.
**6. Catchy and fairly poppy but unique song. Sassy.
7. Quiter bits with some spot-on high notes, a more introspective song.
8. Higher energy with quick, choppy lyrics and melody, with a thick and powerful chorus and solo. FAKE ENDING around T-2:00 to a na-na-na type outtro.
**9. Attention grabbing song with interesting twists in chord progressions and lots of energy. Soft fading strings outtro.
10. Slow, thick and rocky song with some nice high register notes in the melody.
11. Piano and sad lyrics with some airy spacey bits. Gets spooky and tense with a soft, haunting ending.
12. Nice song in the same style as their other music, but nothing special.
