Playful little tunes and grooves – “thrift store rock sound collages” - constructed by Jared Blum, a.k.a. Blanketship. This stuff is all really good and all over the place. FCC track 3. Try all tracks - very recommended! 1) * Reworked opener from TV pilot – horns, nondescript lyrics, sparkly blips 2) Religious themed. Eerie whistle & organ over swirly electronics 3) FCCs. Dark, heavy. Slowed Italian suspense theme with TV host Pat O’Brien on voice mails. 4) * Funky groove with interesting percussive breakdown ~1min in. 5) Drums with samples thrown on top – kitchen sink. 6) * Slowed down vinyl, bleepy moog and a Russian voice 7) * Organs, drums, guitars. Some drone, some vocals, dash of cartoon. 8) Spaced-out slow strings, some Vietnamese bells. 9) First half if dark, harsh & noisy –then flips to reworked movie trailers 10) * This one’s got good rhythm. Sped up 70s guitar keeps it cohesive. 11) Light, kitschy folk feel – unintelligible vocals, chirpy whistles 12) Funky, percussive. Crazy vocal samples 13) Female chorale vocals over clipped, sped up drums 14) * Super catchy – Full sound, 70s easy listening plus electronics. 15) It’s goofy. Slowed down patches, guitar noodling. 16) Rain and sampled & screwed vocals. 17) Instructional vocals with piano - plus breaking glass | ||
