Stark Arctic, The

Very cool, sludgey doomish metal from New Jersey with way gone vocals that range from straight up fierce to mangled screams to a Danzig-like dark rock out (minus the cheese factor). A good blend of bands like 16, Crowbar, Big Business, Fistula, Eyehategod. Tuneful but manic stuff.

((((2)))) (FCC “Shit” sung once) Way gone, Southern sludge with completely looney vocals that somehow work.
((((3)))) Oozing, murky, slow Danzig/Melvins/EHG mix.
((((4)))) (FCC “Fucking” sung once). Uptempo, riff rider, bassy, pretty rockin’ in the realm of Big Business. Love it when it sings “but…I’m a son of a bitch…!” Runs a bit too long, though.
((((5)))) (FCC “fuck” sung 8 times, “shit” once) "Anti-hipster/beard-o", rager and just spews well placed hate like the hugely underrated Fistula. Lyrically it also could read like a Brookyln vs. Jersey thing.
(((6))) Slow, psych intro goes into some good but basic, doomy riffs, very pained vocals and flat drumming.
