Mostly indie music benefit comp put together by the guys from the National. Some soul, hip hop, but mostly folk, rock, and pop. Some really great stuff on here. My picks: Disc 1: 2, 4, 6, 7, 13 Disc 2: 3, 5, 8, 10, 11, 13 -Adrian Disc 1 1. Dirty Projectors & David Byrne - Knotty Pine -- upbeat folky pop. 2. The Books (w/ Jose Gonzalez) - Cello Song -- Nick Drake cover. electronic & sample-y cover. pretty. 3. Feist & Ben Gibbard - Train Song -- slow, dark folk song with an old-time feel 4. Bon Iver - Bracket, W9 -- gorgeous falsetto-voiced folky song. 5. Grizzly Bear - Deep Blue Sea -- acoustic folky song. 6. The National - So Far Around the Bend -- orchestrated baritone-voiced indie rock. 7. Yeasayer - Tightrope -- rhythmic art pop 8.
