The band's self-described "flower punk" - psychedelic mixed w/ garage rock – sounds like the Sex Pistols mixed w/ the Beach Boys and topped off with a side of dirge & silliness. Band is from Atlanta, GA & is known for their wild shows (vomiting, urination). this is their 5th album. FCC: 3, 11 Try: 6, 1,3,2,5 1) ** high energy, jangly, chaotic opener. Makes u want to rattle about 2) *vox like the Ramones w/ boppin surf guitar; “flower punk” at its peak 3) **FCC accessible track w/ catchy chorus + maracas in the rhythm section. 4) dissonant grief & dragging guitars 5) *Haunting & Howling mixed w/ a bit of psychedelic flavor 6) **Lead single: upbeat, communal, lo-fi southern rock a la Black Keys, The Who 7) slower song, mourning lyrics 8) pokes fun at Jack Johnson! 9) name of song (“again & again”) precludes the guitar riff; great energetic yet droning punk 10) Less scratchy & echoed than others; focuses on southern jangle & surf guitars 11) FCC “fuckin”; grungy slow RAP!
