Putumayo scores again with this delightful, though all too short, collection of the sounds of India. From classical and acoustic folk to Bollywood and lounge music, it’s a quick overview of the rich musical variety to come from India that only leaves you wanting more.

*1. Sweet fem vocals in a slow, romantic track w/a rich melody. Sigh…
*2. Slow/mid ghazal vocals over piano, violin, elec rhythm. A hip blend of sounds
*3. Relaxed guitar, male vox, flute & perc. Slightly funky too. So cool.
4. Synth backs Carnatic chant w/fem vox. Relaxed, a bit new-agey.
5. Santoor (like a dulcimer) & perc, relaxed & dreamy.
*6. Midtempo Bollywood hit w/vocal duet & a modern sound.
*7. Slow & lush w/fem vox, table, guitar. Very beautiful.
8. Bright bansuri flute & flamenco guitar, perc mid & touched w/jazz.
*9. Midtempo ghazal w/bright tabla & strong fem vox. Pretty.
10. Bright w/elec rhythm & fem vocals. Midtempo Bollywood dance.
