Album Review

Singer-songwriter, good indie/alternative rock. The whole album is solid, cohesive and one of the best indie rock albums I've heard in a while. Doiron does jaded, naive, motherly and sexy - she works her voice in these songs. Doiron was a member of 90s Canadian group Eric's Trip. Great stuff. No FCCs.

1) Positively sing-songy with chirping birds
2) * Nice heavy guitar opening & ending
3) * Laid back, jazzy kinda Sea & the Cake
4) * Plodding rhythm, tender voice, big reverb guitar
5) Heavy psych & 90s alternative sound
6) Sweet ditty, simple voice & acoustic guitar
7) * Ode to divorce: Rock, guitar noodling. Kinda liz phair
8) Soft layered vocals in French, gentle sounds
9) * Nice polyrhythmic background to a gentle tune
10) Straightforward, upbeat pop tune
11) * Beautifully solemn, reverb-erific, muted vox
12) Just her lovely voice and acoustic guitar
