Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2009-04-04
Noise rock mixed with electro with dreamy psyche elements that keep it toned down. Instrumental, besides manipulated samples. Excellent amalgam of noise, industrial, and dream rock with tribal drum stylings. Great stuff for fans of noise, psyche and Sonic Youth, Heldon, My Bloody Valentine, Flying Saucer Attack alike.

1) starts chill with voice sample but builds to drone then a mid tribalesque beat
2) psychey mid paced noisey rock but melodic and dreamy too
3) tribal rock with sustained guitar work a la Fripp/Heldon and interesting samples
4) droney, halting beat with creepy buried voices
5) mid paced but driving, tribal again with nice droney out-tro
6) briefer droney, like previous
7) strange noisey electronics with a sampled voice to introduce it, then it turns electro, near-industrial, slow-mid paced
8) backward masked feel, near electro feel to this one too, chill
9) strange funny samples/insults at first, then a slow funky electro feel
10) electrobeat, reminds me a lot of FSA
11) dark feel, electro manipulation of bells, samples, with a constant beat
12) synths, no beat, minimal melody, hypnotic
13) funky tribal, halting beat
14) good solid downtempo type beat with creepy tones and subtle melody, can be played with following
15) feels like a continuation of previous, can be played with
16) super cool down tempo, a quick FCC in the sample at the end with 30 seconds left “how come youre so fucked up?” easily edited
