Jazz fusion guitar with tabla percussion based on South Asian folk music ( the way Jazz musicians embrace Gospel, Fareed plays with the South Asian folk music. known for Garaj Mahal & SUMMIT with George Brooks and Zakir Hussein. Fareed is a GREAT guitarist. All tracks are very good. 1: 10:02 Indian scat style intro then mellow cool guitar, percussion & keyboards ****2: 7:03 very nice guitar,violin & tabla groove 3: 10:12 mellow guitar, fast tabla percussion & piano 4: 5:29 mellow with guitar and faster tabla ****5: 5:01 fast picking, fast tabla, cool almost drone sound 6: 11:08 fast picking, mellow but very cool, tabla ***7: 7:35 hand clapping percussion, tabla, fast.
