John Parish composed all the music and PJ Harvey wrote and sang the lyrics. Quality mature complex at time rock. Folk instrumentation smatterings, just all really good. 1) soaring vocals sound better than ever, pleasant mellow yet disturbing rock with melodic hook 2) expected passionate pj Harvey vocal stylings over folkie feel instruments, intense 3) like a ballad, high register singing in chorus, minimal waltz 4) kind of all over, once again crazy good 5) a slow organ/drum strangeness made stranger with polly’s weird vocal style on this one 6) FCCs, bigtime 7) folkie ukelele, piano and pump organ with delicate vocals 8) crazed, barking sounds(?), wasted with fuzzed vocals, yes, bark like a dog polly! 9) chill, pretty, picks up 10) minimal and sensitive | ||
