Review of Danny O’Keefe’s In Time This is the CD you play on those Sunday country drives. The lyrics are deeply personal, written by a man who has seen much of life, and has taken the time to reflect. The music is strongly rooted in the country genre, and the melodies have a time-honored feel that encourages you to listen again and again. FCC clean. Try 1, 3, 7 1.**Strong memorable feel – a favorite. 2. Opening lines are spoken – overall hopeful and optimistic. 3. Soft long about the end of a love affair. 4. Piano driven – made me think of one of Elton John’s ballads. 5. Country feel – think Kenny Rogers. 6. Not one of the better tracks. I thought of elevator music. 7. **Beautiful ballad, co-written with Michael McDonald. 8. Subtle gospel influences. 9. Nice 10. Guitar-driven song – Nice. 11. Strong jazz influences -harmonica drives melody between vocals. 12. The beginning is similar to Jeffrey Osborne’s On the Wings of Love. The riff repeats throughout the song. by Rhonda Goodman |
