Drifting in Silence-“Facewithin” Uncertain FCC Violations (reviewed by “Uncle Steve”)
Uncertain FCC Violations: I did not hear any violations. However, the distorted/vocorded vocals made it impossible to hear the words clearly. This is true for tracks 1, 3, 5, 6-8. Tracks 2 & 4 had no vocals.
Can be described as “light industrial”, as it has lots of piercing synths, industrial beats (slow to mid-tempo), lo-fi spoken word & vocorded vocals.
Overall: Doesn’t break new ground. Most tracks are “cluttered” (a little too much going on) & production is muddled. Remixes are best bet.
Recommended Tracks: 7 (down-tempo remix of track 3, vocorded vocals, most sparse orchestration). 8 (also down-tempo remix of track 3, with some drum & bass rhythms & periods of no rhythm).
