Retro folkie hillbilly swing and western surfy rockabilly sentiments but no clichés anywhere. Sexy female vocals all around, well played guitars, bass, drums. Traditional feel in the lyrics, contemporary in the sexuality and the general fun. Drugs, sex. No fucking goddamned goD anywhere! Fun instead!! GREAT stuff!! From Nashville TN, if you can believe that!! 1) Red Light love: surfy swingy sexy rock beat withsome good rockin feedback in the bridge but otherwise its just straight up Motown/Surf car-centered upbeat love! 2) western upbeat swing, straight up sexy crazy girl disclaimer…sign me up! 3) mid paced head nodding fun dancing: “don’t break my mamma’s heart” (cuz you’ll break mine), how sweet is that 4) upbeat, about the phone ringing, funny ironic 5) upbeat about eating a whole goddamned chicken while drunk… this works well in the bay area, live recording feel 6) gospel sorta intro that launches into a genuine rocker that feels real real good 7) about drinking alone, longing for love, drinking out of love and loneliness, acoustic, just guitar and vocs, falling down and crying, mental illness that life inspires 8) upbeat danceable western 9) nice electro-effects to intro simple maracas and percussion, soaring vocals, why “these darlings” don’t play the main stage of Hardly Strictly Bluegrass is beyond me (you heard it hear first) 10) aw, I’m a sucker for a good beat and this song could be about eating babies on a bbq but the beat just slays me and I LOVE IT (no, its about love not about eating babies) 11) mid paced swinger about a bad subject: don’t get a fucking dui, just don’t, even on a bicycle!!! Poor girl. I’d kiss her forehead, even if she smelled like a brewery like me, song picks up into a genuine rocker with chorus “DUI or Die!”, cant beat this shit with a pole 12) cooking song!
