Mellow roots rock reggae. Easy to listen to and very relaxed. I’m completely unfamiliar with the artist, who recorded this at a studio in some little hamlet in LA. Rather reedy, untutored voice, simple instrumentation.
No FCCs detected. Mostly quite similar, really.
1. 5:24 ***very downtempo and downbeat skank with a bit of nyahbinghi, a bit reminiscent of Bob Marley’s more acoustic style.
2. 5:14 **a bit downtempo, mellow and relaxed, in praise of pot. Fades way early.
3. 3:46 **a bit downtempo and mellow, but swingy.
4. 3:58 **midtempo roots bubble.
5. 3:58 **midtempo skank with a bit of fuzz guitar, female backing vocals.
6. 3:29 extremely slow and a bit smooth-jazzy, overproduced.
7. 4:00 **somewhat downtempo roots one-drop.
8. 4:27 **somewhat downtempo, nice horn line. EXTREMELY long fade.
9. 3:32 ***downtempo roots skank, not as mellow as most tracks, strong with interestingly strained vocals.
10. 3:52 ***midtempo bubble.
11. 3:18 **downtempo bubble, pretty.
12. 4:47 **very slow, minor key, mellow. Another very early fade.
