Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2009-12-21
All instrumental guitar based music with spots of drums and tones and sounds. Dissonance and angularness reminiscent of Touch and Go label bands (Jesus Lizard, Scratch Acid) or locals The Enablers, but mellow. The only distortion is subdued swirling My Bloody Val type tone washes. Song-like, except the 6th that is ambient and will warm the heart of the glue sniffer. Pretty stuff, stands fine alone but would also be great as an interlude or even a soundbed.

1) simple clean electric guitar melody/theme with fuzzy bendy distorto chords interspersed, brief and a perfect interlude
2) simple and strummy, clean with embellishments
3) simple and fuzzy, with drums and rhythm
4) brief, guitar theme with rising and ebbing tones and leads, lovely
5) epic solo playing, rhythmic, with nice sound embellishments
6) an ambient piece, quite spacey and lovely
