Album Review

Interesting acoustic female folk/singer-song writer with a very trippy (but at times) precise and concise voice. Occasionally dark but not as *eh *, “grim” that falsely led some to use the words “Black Metal” in one of her reviews (really Aquarius?). Very unpredictable but when it works more often than not.

((((1))))) Airy, minimal guitar with slow tempo and vocals.
(((((2))))) Fast tempo with circular strumming and a “riding on a horse” feeling.
(((3))) Jazzy-folk with very precise vocals and silly sex obsessed lyrics: “and I’ve been penetrated so I’m welcome everywhere I go”. Huh?
((((4)))) (FCC “tits”? Sung very fast) Bluegrass-y ramblin’ folk, great instrumentation, weird multiple vocals and more “T.M.I.” lyrics.
((((5)))) Trippy electronic bloops like some kinda Morton Subotnik piece mixes with equally odd-ball folk and vocals. Plus, whistling and horns.
(((6))) Straight traditional-vocal centered folk with violin in some kinda of Eastern European language, possibly Czech and a bit in English.
((7)) Airy, early 70’s “earth mama” folk. Nice guitars but that’s about it.
((8)) Dorky 6 yr. old girl folk-that too many go nuts over ‘cause it’s so “avant-garde”.
(((9))) Interesting guitars and strings and odd metered vocals.
(((10))) Very basic acoustic folk. Not bad but nothing special.
((((11)))) Airy vocals, mid-paced strummy folk with more whistling. Kind of amusing.
((((12)))) Traditional country-tinged folk with very Southern vocals and mouth harp.
(13) Top strings of the neck, some drum brushes and a goofy girl lost in her Holly Hobbie treehouse world.
((((14)))) Mystical and bizarre pagan/surrealist folk as if made by some kinda Pitchfork approved Manson girls. (They have them 6.8/10, btw).
(((((15))))) (FCC “shit” sung once) Rather nice dark as fukk folk. “A bitter nihilistic hate…” Oooh, NOW yer talkin’!
